Jason Martin

Jason Martin is known for his monochromatic paintings in which the surfaces of the medium are, often, dragged or combed to create a sculptural quality. These striations catch the light, and in this respect the artist’s work can be compared to the Outrenoir investigations of Pierre Soulages in France.

Martin’s paintings have “ the vigour of action painting but a controlled hand.”

His work has been shown at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, and he is represented by leading primary galleries across the world.
